New HAWK system will continue pedestrian safety improvements at train station in Fair LawnOver the past few years, Fair Lawn’s Broadway Improvement Corporation (BIC) has worked cooperatively through a public/private partnership with Fair Lawn and Elmwood Park to address pedestrian concerns about crossing Broadway (Route 4) to reach the Broadway Train Station. With weekday ridership at the station averaging more than 300 people per day, the highest level in at least 10 years, their safety is a top priority.
